Cookie policy

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. virksomhed.app, the Virksomhed apps, and id.virksomhed.io use only cookies they need to work. They use no cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking, and they set no cookies from third parties.
Cookies we set
__Secure-Session on the site and the apps
Where: virksomhed.app, konsulent.virksomhed.app, and knitting.virksomhed.app
Lifetime: 30 days, renewed on each visit
Purpose: A random identifier that ties your browser to a session on our server. When you sign in to an app, the session keeps you signed in. We also use it for security: limiting the number of requests and protecting the site and the apps from denial-of-service attacks.
__Secure-Session on id.virksomhed.io
Where: id.virksomhed.io
Lifetime: 30 days
Purpose: Keeps you signed in to your account. The session on our server also stores your IP address and browser, so you can see where you are signed in.
__Secure-Device
Where: virksomhed.app, konsulent.virksomhed.app, and knitting.virksomhed.app
Lifetime: 400 days
Purpose: A random identifier for your browser, which we use for security: limiting the number of requests and protecting the site and the apps from denial-of-service attacks. The platform behind them also uses it to deliver notifications to the right device.
All of them are first-party, HttpOnly, and Secure cookies: only the site that set a cookie can read it, scripts in the page cannot, and the browser sends it only over an encrypted connection. None of them contains anything about who you are.

Purpose: Keeps the recipe you work on in Strikkeopskrift.
It stays in your browser and never reaches our server.
Why we do not ask for consent
The Danish Executive Order on cookies (cookiebekendtgørelsen) lets a site store information that is strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for without asking first. Everything listed here falls under that exemption, so neither the site nor the apps show a consent banner.
Removing cookies
You can delete cookies and local storage at any time in your browser's settings.
Deleting the session signs you out, and deleting knitting.recipe removes your
recipe.
